Polyacrylamide (anionic)

Anionic polyacrylamide (PAM) dissolves relatively quickly and is commonly used to treat neutral or alkaline wastewater dominated by inorganic solids, such as wastewater from mining, metallurgy, coal washing, and electroplating industries. It is also used in drinking water purification. In oil field extraction, it is used as a displacement agent and water shutoff agent to improve crude oil recovery; in the paper industry, it can be used as a paper strength enhancer and retention aid to improve paper strength and filtration properties.
